If you hate eerie photos, you should definitely not check this series out. The first two images might look just a wee bit mysterious, but the rest of the photos are probably a bit too scary for some people.

This is one of those impromptu shoots, done at the spur of the moment. That weekend, I was really ill, too weak to do anything much, and bored out of my mind . . .
Just a few days before that, I picked a few broken vintage camera lenses up for less than $10. I ruined some of them further by splotching them with expired makeup and some water. I paired the filthy lenses with a rather faulty hotshoe flash. Sometimes, a few broken things can create some things right.
The whole shoot lasted for less than 15 minutes, and the post production was minimal. Since I want the images to look gritty and grimy, no cleanup was necessary.
I’ve been trying to transition from shooting fashion editorials to shooting conceptual images and book covers. A few months ago, I signed a three year contract with a European agency that specializes in book covers. This is one of my attempts in photographing things that would work as thriller novels’ book covers (-:
