If things don’t work, jerry-rig it
Whenever I couple my #1 go-to camera lens (Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L II) with my camera, none of my tripods can hold them in place. I’m still unable to find a good tripod collar for the lens, and the persistent drooping problem makes photo compositing works more complicated than it needs to be.
Because I happen to own more than one tripod, the simplest practical solution I could find is using another tripod to prop the lens up. The whole setup looks a bit odd, but it’s simple and it works!
