There are times when styling – or, in this case, cleaning – the subject is not an option . . .
The farm owner was kind enough to let me photograph his dairy cows. However, I was asked to do it from the outside of a fence. I love how dandy and striking this cow looks; but, the dried grass on its forehead, nose, and cheeks sort of ruin the total effect. So, some digital cleanup is in order.
I don’t want to over-process the photo and ruin the texture of his hide. So, I went back a couple of steps to make sure I didn’t overdo the cleanup.
My goal was to remove the distracting aspects of the photo . . . not to eradicate the cow’s imperfection. Besides, a few gray hair and slight imperfection on his nose only adds to his character (-;
