Do you notice the unusual vignetting and bokeh? Everything was created on camera.
Here is a little story behind it: It was one of those rare times when I didn’t secure a spot on the front of the photographers’ pit, and the two photographers in front of me kept on moving side to side. Those vignettes were actually their heads, necks, and shoulders. And, those bokeh are actually the glare of the LCD screens of their cameras.
It was one of those happy coincidences, when I could photograph a beautiful collection and learn a new trick or two.
P.S. The very first thing that came to my mind when I saw this collection is: Takayuki Tanaka and Motoyuki Matsumoto – the two people behind this brand – are masters of textures and pattern making. I also love those beaded upper arm bracelets and necklaces.
