I’m crazy about the camera, and – that week – I brought the camera with me everywhere I went.
Unfortunately, the camera doesn’t come with a protective case, and the store didn’t happen to have one in stock.
Because of its unique shape, the padding inside of my bag – designed for more-rectangular (cuboid) and cylindrical objects – couldn’t provide an adequate protection for the camera. The padding got squished multiple times upon impacts, and the tiny connector that’s supposed to hold the viewfinder together came loose.
It popped out a couple of times. I could pop it back quite easily, but it kept on coming off. After a few days, the connector came off during a photo walk, and I couldn’t find it anywhere. So, for a time, I had to gaffer-tape the loose part onto the base. It was a bit floppy, but it had to do.
